Primary Class Teacher
Southville Primary School, Bedfont Lane, Feltham TW14 9NP
- Start date: 1st September 2025
- Teachers Main Pay Scale
- Fixed term to 31st August 2026
- Full-time role
We are looking to appoint a qualified teacher (MPS or UPS) to join our friendly and enthusiastic staff team to start on 1st September 2025.
About us:
We are a popular three form entry primary school in Feltham, a short walk away from the town centre and direct train line into London Waterloo.
We amalgamated the Infant and Nursery and Junior schools in September 2018, and have become a happy and harmonious team. We are on an exciting journey towards achieving our vision – ‘’where children aspire, succeed and flourish, while laying foundations for the best possible pathway to the future’’. Our values of happiness, respect resilience, compassion, integrity and responsibility are well embedded across the school.
We are looking for:
Most importantly, we are looking for teachers that are passionate about, and skilled in building up meaningful relationships with children. By this, we mean teachers who:
- show a genuine interest in, and concern for children’s wellbeing, being prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ for each and every child
- treat children with kindness and respect
- have high expectations of children in every sense
- consider all kinds of different ways to break down barriers
- teach with enthusiasm, passion, creativity and humour
- create a secure, safe and structured learning environment
We are, of course, also looking for teachers who can plan and deliver consistently highly effective lessons which lead to good pupil progress, and who can competently meet all of the regular expectations of a class teacher (as set out in the Teachers Standards).
Our interview day will include a tour of the school, a short task and an interview (candidates will have half an hour to read interview questions and make notes prior to the interview).
We can offer:
- an authentic nurturing, friendly and supportive working environment
- a meaningful commitment to well-being for all, including for staff an annual well-being day, social events and Employee Assistance Programme
- option of PPA off site for teachers
- Outer London Allowance
- excellent CPD opportunities
- opportunities to lead and contribute to school improvement initiatives
- a supportive leadership team who welcome initiative and fresh ideas.
This position is fixed term for one year due to the projected drop in pupil numbers. However, the likelihood of the position continuing after one year is high.
